Downtown Dallas Wanderland – Eat, drink, shop and be merry– it’s all happening around Commerce Street, in the heart of downtown Dallas, every Thursday through Saturday until December 16. Put on by Downtown Dallas Inc., this winter street fair features everything from dazzling holiday decorations and art demonstrations to live music, outdoor movie screenings (Elf, Christmas Vacation and A Christmas Story) and shopping. 1508 Commerce Street.

12 Days of Christmas Gingerbread Castle – The Ritz-Carlton, Dallas will introduce a one-of-a-kind holiday experience as its enchanting 12 Days of Christmas Gingerbread Castle will be unveiled for guests and the public, complete with refreshments and live entertainment. Crafted of gingerbread and requiring more than 48 chef-hours to bake, ice and assemble, The Ritz-Carlton, Dallas’ magical 12 Days of Christmas Gingerbread Castle is made with approximately 180 pounds of powdered sugar, 110 pounds of fondant, 60 pounds of egg whites, 15 pounds of butter, and more. Mr. & Mrs. Claus will be on hand for photos and lots of fun. Thursdays – 12/7, 12/14, 12/21 at 6:00 p.m., 2121 McKinney Avenue.

Trains at NorthPark – For the past 30 years, the Trains at NorthPark, benefiting Ronald McDonald House of Dallas (RMHD), has delighted generations of Dallas families as one of our city’s premier holiday traditions. Since 1987, the Trains have raised more than $13 million for RMHD allowing them to serve more than 37,000 families. 10 a.m. – 9 p.m. daily between November 18 and January 7.

ICE! – The Gaylord Texan in Grapevine hosts this indoor ice spectacular themed ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas featuring more than two million pounds of hand-carved ice sculptures, two-story tall ice slides, larger than life decorations, a 12 lane snow tubing hill and more! Through January 1, 2018.

Enchant: The World’s Largest Christmas Light Maze & Market – A world of Christmas wonder awaits as Enchant, The World’s Largest Christmas Light Maze & Market, makes its U.S. debut at Globe Life Park in Arlington, November 24 – December 31, 2017. Surrounded by millions of dazzling lights, the memories you make will last well beyond the holiday season. Get lost in the world’s largest light maze. Take photos around the largest Christmas tree in North Texas. Glide around the ice-skating pond, or waltz through the Enchant Christmas Market with over 85 vendors, including an Arlington favorite Texas Christkindle Market Lane, now a part of the Enchant experience.

Lady Gaga Joanne World Tour – Lady Gaga is a Grammy and Golden Globe winner who has amassed an outstanding 30 million global album sales and 150 million singles sales, making her one of the best-selling musicians of all time. The Joanne World Tour follows her recently released fifth studio album, Joanne, which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200. This marked Lady Gaga’s 4th consecutive No. 1 album, the first female to do so in the 2010s. December 8, 7:30 p.m., American Airlines Center.

How The Grinch Stole Christmas – Dr. Seuss’ How The Grinch Stole Christmas! The Musical features the hit songs “You’re A Mean One Mr. Grinch” and “Welcome Christmas” (written by Albert Hague and Dr. Seuss) from the original animated series. Max the Dog narrates as the mean and scheming Grinch, whose heart is “two sizes too small,” decides to steal Christmas away from the Holiday loving Whos. Magnificent sets (John Lee Beatty) and costumes (Robert Morgan) inspired by Dr. Seuss’ original illustrations help transport audiences to the whimsical world of Whoville, while the Music and Book of Mel Marvin and Timothy Mason breathe new life into this timeless story of the true meaning of Christmas. December 5-17, Winspear Opera House.

BMW Dallas Marathon – The 2017 BMW Dallas Marathon, Half Marathon and SMU Cox School of Business Relay unveils a new course and start/finish line that will highlight Dallas’ most iconic and beautiful neighborhoods and landmarks. Race officials focused on enhancing the runner and guest experience, including adding more overall downhill miles for both races, and creating a more scenic route for participants and spectators in the updated course design. All runners will start in Downtown Dallas at the new start/finish line on Young Street in front of Dallas City Hall. Come out and cheer the runners on! December 10th, 8 a.m.

NorthPark Treats of Christmas – NorthPark Center will present the ultimate holiday bake sale benefiting the North Texas Food Bank. Presented by the Dallas Chapter of the Texas Chefs Association, dozens of premier chefs from area restaurants and catering companies present an assortment of gourmet cakes, sweets, pies and cookies available for purchase. December 16, 10 a.m., NorthPark Center.

Cirque du Soleil presents Varekai – Deep within a forest atop a volcano, exists an extraordinary world, where anything is possible … Varekai. From the sky falls a solitary young man, and the story begins. On this day at the edge of time, in this place of all possibilities, begins an inspired incantation to life rediscovered. Directed by Dominic Champagne, this production pays tribute to the nomadic soul, to the spirit and art of the circus tradition, and to those who quest with infinite passion along the path that leads to Varekai. December 20-23, Dr. Pepper Arena in Frisco.

The King and I – Two worlds collide in the Lincoln Center Theater production of this “breathtaking and exquisite” (The New York Times) musical, directed by Bartlett Sher. One of Rodgers & Hammerstein’s finest works, THE KING AND I boasts a score that features such beloved classics as “Getting To Know You,” “I Whistle a Happy Tune,” “Hello Young Lovers,” “Shall We Dance” and “Something Wonderful.” Set in 1860’s Bangkok, the musical tells the story of the unconventional and tempestuous relationship that develops between the King of Siam and Anna Leonowens, a British schoolteacher whom the modernist King, in an imperialistic world, brings to Siam to teach his many wives and children. December 19 – 31 at Winspear Opera House.

Cheese, Chocolate & Bubbles – Prepare for New Year’s Eve Celebrations with Scardello’s Cheese, Chocolate & Bubbles. What more can be said about three of life’s greatest pleasures? Join as you explore each of these delights individually and try out some interesting pairings. Friday, December 29th, 8 p.m.
