Father’s Day is Sunday, June 21. We want to wish all the dads out there a very special day filled with family and friends! Make sure you tell your dad how much you appreciate him.
Operation Kindness Dog Day Afternoon, June 6 – Gather the pups and head out to this free and fun festival celebrating dogs and the people who love them!
The Rolling Stones in concert, June 6 – The iconic rockers will be in Dallas with their Zip Code Tour and treat generations of fans to a special, one night only show packed full of classic Rolling Stones hits.
Fantasy in Sand, June 6 through August 23 – Fantasy in Sand uses 3 million pounds of sand to create multiple intricate, hand-carved sand sculptures, some as tall as 20 feet, themed around The Wonderful Wizard of Oz as well as the largest indoor sandbox in Texas.
Dallas Zoo Safari Nights, June 6 through August 1 – Every Saturday evening, enjoy family fun under the stars and extended hours with the animals. Visitors can explore the zoo during the day, and then stretch out at night to the sounds of tribute bands and original songwriters on the shady Cat Green. Bring a blanket or chairs!
Addison’s 2015 Summer Series, Saturdays June 6 through August 29 – Spend your Saturday nights in June, July and August enjoying live music or a family-friendly ’80s movie under a blanket of beautiful North Texas stars.
Susan G. Komen Plano Race for the Cure, June 13 – The Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure® Series is the world’s largest and most successful education and fundraising event for breast cancer ever created. The Plano Race for the Cure, now in its 25th year, raises significant funds and awareness for the breast cancer movement, celebrates breast cancer survivorship, and honors those who have lost their battle with the disease.
Shakespeare in the Park, June 17 through August 2 – Founded in 1971, Shakespeare Dallas offers North Texas residents a unique opportunity to experience Shakespeare in a casual park setting, as well as providing cultural and educational programs to audiences of all ages. Enjoy Shakespeare’s Romeo & Juliet or A Midsummer Night’s Dream.
2015 Denton Air Show, June 20 – Great things will be happening at the Denton Enterprise Airport as another great air show comes to the airport. Vintage aircraft, helicopter rides and breathtaking aerobatic demonstrations will be seen throughout the afternoon.
Juneteenth Celebration and Festival, June 20 – MetroPCS is hosting an exciting free event to celebrate the 150th anniversary of Juneteenth, the oldest nationally celebrated commemoration of the ending of slavery in the United States. The family-friendly festival will include live music, a DJ mix off, comedy acts, bounce houses, face painting and more.
Reunion Lawn Party, June 27 through September 26 – On the last Saturday of every month, June through September, Reunion Tower will host the Reunion Lawn Party, a monthly hangout in the heart of downtown, at Reunion Park. The party will be a free hangout featuring live music, food trucks, a beer garden, lawn games and more.
Taco Libre! Taco and Music Festival, June 27 – This new festival celebrates tacos, music and, naturally, wrestling. Sample an array of tacos from DFW’s best taquerias while enjoying the eclectic musical of regional and national acts. Last but not least, there will be daredevil action and high-flying entertainment from authentic, local Lucha libre wrestlers.
