We’d like to wish a Happy Mother’s Day to all! We celebrate those of us who are blessed to be mothers and applaud all the significant women in our lives!


The temperatures are warming up and summer is upon us! Here are some things we love about Dallas this month:

Swiss Avenue Mother’s Day Home Tour, May 9 through 10 – This weekend-long tribute to Dallas’ historic past will feature six of the city’s most fabulous Early 20th Century homes, — plus an English Garden Tour, an art fair, antique-car display, a children’s play area, live entertainment, free horse-drawn carriage rides, complimentary air-conditioned mini-coaches travelling between homes, freshly prepared food, ice-cold beverages and much more.

New Kids on the Block, May 14 – You can’t keep a good boy band down, even if they’re 20 years past being boys. ’90s sensation New Kids on the Block will return once again, this time with special guests TLC and Nelly.

Fork & Cork, May 15 through 16 –  This unique and innovative destination introduces the culinary minded to local celebrated chefs, assorted breweries, wineries and spirit makers. An authentic, one-of-a-kind experience that satisfies the epicurious, Fork & Cork is an interactive festival that serves up tasteful artist demonstrations and live Music, as well as tasty dishes.

Wildflower Arts & Music Festival, May 15 through 17 – Wildflower! is an award-winning, multi-day eclectic arts and music festival featuring six performance stages, the Wild! Marketplace, the Taste of Texas Food Garden, the family friendly Kidz Korner, and a whole lot more! This year’s acts include Zane Williams, Pat Benetar, The Smithereens, Blue October, Le Freak, Wynonna & The Big Noise and many more!

Warbirds Over Addison, May 16 through 17 – Cavanaugh Flight Museum, the largest collection of flying historic and military aircraft in the Southwest, will host its biggest weekend of the year, Warbirds Over Addison.  North Texas aviation buffs will have the chance to see, touch and even fly in many of the planes in the Cavanaugh collection.

Summer at the Arboretum, May 16 through August 31 – The Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden will launch Summer at the Arboretum in 2015. Under the canopy of the Pecan Grove, the focal point for the festival, will be topiary Flower Houses that create a serene themed village. There will also be floral displays, activities, discounts and fun for the whole family, including Dollar Days, featuring $1 general garden admission during the entire month of August.

Neil Diamond, May 28 – Neil Diamond, iconic Grammy Award-winning Rock and Pop Singer/Songwriter and Rock and Roll Hall of Fame member, returns to Dallas for the first time since 2008 with this concert in support of Melody Road, his first new album since 2010.

The Byron Nelson, May 28 through 31 – One of Dallas’ biggest sports attractions and most anticipated social events of the spring. The tournament is the leading fundraiser for charity on the PGA Tour and is organized by the Salesmanship Club of Dallas.

Dallas Comic Con presents Fan Expo Dallas, May 29 through 31 – Tens of thousands of fans will spend three days immersed in the world of comic books, sci-fi television shows and movies. This pop culture extravaganza is packed with exciting family friendly activities and celebrity guests. Who knows what you’ll see walking through the streets of downtown Dallas!

DFW Ultimate Women’s Expo, May 30 through 31 – Explore your own personal style, renew your soul and uncover your passions while you relax and rejuvenate, explore a new interest, purchase a great find, connect with inspiring Keynote Speakers Melissa Gilbert, Nancy Grace, Nene Leakes, Tabatha Coffey and re-ignite your inner you.
