Here are some things that we love about Dallas in December:
December is a great month if you are a music aficionado! Whether you are a fan of Justin Timberlake (December 3), Usher (December 4), Andrea Bocelli (December 11) or Fleetwood Mac (December 14), there is something for everyone at American Airlines Center this month.
A Christmas Carol, through December 27 – This annual production of the Dickens classic by the Dallas Theater Center is a heart-warming, perspective-shifting way to get fully invested in the holiday season. Get tickets early, it sells out quickly.
ICE!, entire month of December – The Gaylord Texan in Grapevine hosts this indoor ice spectacular replete with a live ice sculpture carver, an ice slide, and an 12 lane snow hill!
The 12 Days of Christmas, entire month of December – The Dallas Arboretum pulls out all the stops, displaying an elaborate collection of Victorian gazebos featuring characters and scenes from the classic.
NorthPark Center becomes Christmas central, with The Trains at NorthPark – the most elaborate toy train display in Texas benefitting Ronald McDonald House and Visits With Santa daily through December 24.
The Dallas Marathon, December 8 – Formerly known as the White Rock marathon, the Dallas Marathon benefits Scottish Rite Hospital for Children. Lace up your shoes and run the full marathon, the half marathon, or grab some friends and run the 5 person relay.
All Creatures Great and Small: Christmas at the White House 2002, entire month of December – The Bush Presidential Library recreates the 2002 White House holiday displays, decorations and behind the scenes photos and video.
This month will dash by. Enjoy the moments with friends and family and celebrate those you work with this December!
