February leaves us longing for spring and those warm, sunny days that stretch longer and longer. Although it may still be cold outside, there are so many great things happening in Dallas in February to keep you warm.

Dallas Symphony Orchestra’s Love is in the Air, February 14th thru 16th – Spend a romantic musical evening listening to melodies that will make you fall
in love all over again!
Dallas Holocaust Museum thru February 23rd – Visit the special exhibit: A History of the Kindertransport: How 10,000 Children Were Rescued from the Nazis.
Penguin Days at the Dallas Zoo thru February 28th – Chill out at the Dallas Zoo. Everyone age 3 and up can visit the African penguins (as well as the other animals) for just $5 per person.
The Latino Cultural Center presents The Trinity: Reflections of a River – The Trinity River Photo Contest, currently in its fifth year and produced by the City of Dallas, has not only inspired people of all ages to visit the Trinity River corridor and enjoy local outdoor adventure, it has captured these visits with inspiring photographs. Year after year, these are moments of discovery that occur for the viewer through the wonderful images taken by professional, amateur and youth photographers.
Texas Discovery Gardens – Walk through this urban oasis filled with natural wonders. Catch the daily Butterfly Release at noon in the Butterfly House.
Animal Inside Out at The Perot Museum of Nature and Science – Don’t miss your chance to see this amazing exhibit which has been extended until February 23rd. Explore the intricate biology, zoology and physiology of the world’s most spectacular creatures, large and small – over 100 specimens.
Fort Worth Stockyards Championship Rodeo – Every Friday and Saturday evening at 8 p.m. Bull Riding, Bareback Riding, Tie Down Roping, Team Roping, Barrel Racing and more!
And, last but not least, Valentine’s Day is around the corner. Make reservations now at one of the great restaurants. You can also try your hand at making some tasty treats for your Valentine by attending a Vegan Cake Pops Class at Whole Foods.
