Happy New Year! The Mom Corps Dallas team is kicking of the New Year with resolutions to:
- Work smarter
- Find daily joy in what we do professionally
- Spend quality time with family
- Make a difference in the lives of others
- Take time for ourselves to be the best we can be
And, last but not least, celebrate all our community has to offer!
With that, let’s dig in to what we love about North Texas in January!
Chinese Lantern Festival, thru February 17 – Come “Light a New Dream.” Marvel at spectacular displays that include the Imperial Dragon Boat. A full cast of characters will be ready to greet you—monkeys, pandas, even the Emperor & Empress!
Klyde Warren Park – There is so much to see and do! Play board games, skate on the synthetic ice. Have lunch or dinner in the park.
Nasher Sculpture Center – The Nasher Sculpture Center celebrates its 10 year anniversary with a citywide takeover. The public art initiative features ten newly commissioned works of art by ten local and international artists and art collectives at 10 different sites.
Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Parade and Celebration – Support the parade and celebrate the legacy of the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. The parade starts at Dallas City Hall January 18th, 10 a.m.
Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo, January 17 – February 8 – A “must-do” for North Texans, visit the midway, milking parlor, horse show, children’s barnyard and make sure to attend the rodeo!
Elvis Month at El Ranchito, events throughout January – All nights will have a $5 cover charge and start at 7:30 p.m. Along with Elvis contests, there will be performances by the talented impersonators Kraig Parker and Johnny Lovett!
