October is a busy month. Fall is officially here and temperatures finally dip below 90 degrees! With that in mind, it’s the perfect time to dust of your running shoes, hit the pavement to support Breast Cancer Awareness Month and honor someone you love.

The Race for the Cure takes place Oct. 19th

Kick off a weekend of art with AURORA-2013 in the Dallas Arts District. On October 18, the Arts District features 90 artists, 19 blocks, 68 acres and 1 illuminating night. This festival of Light, Video and Sound is a contemporary art exhibit like no other!

Check out the new Big Tex! State for of Texas continues through October 20th.

The Dwell with Dignity Thrift Store pops up Oct 10-31.

Benefiting the Family Place, Partner’s Card begins Oct 25 and runs thru Nov 3. Shop with purpose.

Get ready for pumpkin carving parties. Shop the Dallas Farmer’s Market for great pumpkin choices and, if you’re competitive, check out for pumpkin carving contests!

Of course there are sports ~ football is in high gear whether it is our kiddos flag or tackle games, high school or our Dallas Cowboys.
