Dallas Right Now

In honor of the 12th anniversary of September 11th, Mom Corps Dallas remembers911memorial those who died during the terrorist attacks. We are thinking of their loved ones and friends as well as those injured. To the heroes who came to the rescue of many, we thank you.

Now on to what we love about North Texas in September …

Are you ready for some football? We certainly are, whether it is flag, first time tackle, high school, college or the NFL! But don’t forget to support our Texas Rangers too!

Grandparents Day is this month! Send a card or call the grandparents and thank them for all they do on Sunday, September 8.

Other events we love:

The State Fair of Texas opens September 27! It is one of the greatest state fairs in the world! For more than 100 years, it has been the leading source of entertainment for millions, as well as a powerful factor in the growth of Dallas.

The Plano Balloon Festival is an action packed weekend of skydivers, hot air balloons, concerts, a huge kid’s fun zone and a variety of foods … young and old have much in common when they are enjoying the colorful balloons that will fill the skies over Plano, September 20 – 22.

Help Addison celebrate the 25th Anniversary of Oktoberfest September 20 – 23! It’s a family event — not just for the beer-drinking public (but there will be that too).

The 27th Annual GrapeFest in Historic Downtown Grapevine features a variety of new wines, new vendors, new bands and more September 12 – 15. It is the largest wine festival in the Southwest.

What did we miss? Please let us know!
