Summer is here. School is out and it is hot in Texas!
Here are a few things to enjoy this month in our fabulous city:

Dallas Arboretum Chihuly Nights – Enjoy the Chihuly exhibition in the evening glow of moonlight and tree lights with the artist’s magnificently lit sculptures.
Trammel Crow Asian Art Museum’s Yoga for Youth Camp – Kids will join certified Yogiños instructors for fun yoga classes weaving stories from works of art, music, and the 8 limbs of yoga. Yogiños: Yoga For Youth® aligns minds, bodies, and hearts for all ages both on and off the yoga mat!
Big D Catamarans Family Swim Party – Join Big D Cats for a Swim Party on Lake Lewisville. Slide down the water slide, lounge on the swim toys or just bathe in the sun on the nets. Light snack will be provided or feel free to bring your own snacks and coolers.
KidSwing – Former patient Ben Sater received treatment, including surgery, for a condition called trigger finger at Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children. When he discovered that patients receive treatment regardless of their ability to pay, he decided to use his love for golf to give back to the hospital by creating KidSwing, a 9-hole, best-ball scramble for players ages 7 to 18 of all levels of golf ability. There is no entry fee to play in the tournament, but players are asked to raise at least $100 through sponsorship from their friends and families.
Dirk Nowitzki’s 2012 Heroes Celebrity Baseball Game – Celebrity Home Run Derby with HITS400 (5 p.m.), followed by the Heroes Celebrity Baseball Game at 6 p.m. and a fireworks finale to top it off. Event will be held Saturday, June 30, at 6 p.m. at the Dr Pepper Ballpark in Frisco. Proceeds will benefit the Dirk Nowitzki Foundation and the Heroes Foundation.
New and Almost New Grad Resumes: Presentation & Hands – On Workshop Paula Asinof, founder of Yellow Brick Path, will be leading a two-part presentation and workshop to share the secrets of creating a resume that truly represents you, that “speaks” to your target audience and that engages your reader at a glance – and even helps you speak more articulately and confidently about yourself.
